Adele Dawson - Logistics Manager

 

Adele is our Logistics Manager and has worked in the business for 10 ½ years.

She joined MBNI as a Vehicle Progress Supervisor and promoted to management level in 2015.

Adele has a team of Logistics drivers reporting to her and is also our Driver Trainer.

“In my role no two days are the same, I enjoy the fast-paced nature and variety in the automotive industry”.  I have the support of an excellent team who help us provide consistently high standards of service."

"The support at director level and indeed MBUK is second to none. You definitely do feel part of the team and the support allows for a better customer experience. It a pleasure to manage with freedom and trust.

As a Service Manager no two days are the same. Primarily I start the day by responding to email queries. I usually have multiple customer/MBUK Network meetings which these days tend to be via team meetings. Which I must say has been a very productive tool during the pandemic. The rest of the day usually involves career management and workshop business."

How long have you worked for MBNI Truck and Van?

I have worked for the company since early 2012.

What do you enjoy most about working for MB Truck and Van NI?

Working for a well-established brand alongside a great team of people around me.  

Can you describe a typical day in your job role?

Helping with the day to day running of the parts department, every day can be different in terms of the range of vehicles we can be asked to supply parts for, dealing with customers over the phone, email and face to face at the counter, Picking and packing up orders to be send out by courier, or with the parts delivery vans.

What gives you the most job satisfaction?

Knowing that by the end of the day I have helped all customers and staff members to the best of my ability.

Why did you decide to join MBNI?

I had several years with another brand and when the job opening came up, I felt it would be good to work for another well-known brand expanding my knowledge in the commercial vehicle industry, obviously we aren’t expected to know everything about the job when we start, luckily there is lots of long time serving employees here with lots of knowledge that are happy to help.

What makes MBNI a place you are proud to work for?

I am proud to be part of such a thriving company. The values we share, and the dedication of the team make me proud to be a member of this company.
