Hours: 07:45 – 16:45
Contract: Interim / Temporary
This is an important role within our workshop, overseeing the day-to-day operation of the workshop and supporting our skilled team of technicians to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
The Role
As WKSP Foreman, you will be responsible for:

Coordinating the day-to-day running of the workshop.

Allocating jobs and supporting technicians to ensure efficient workflow.

Oversee, mentor and coach CVTs and Apprentice CVTs
-
Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and customer service.

Assisting with technical queries and providing guidance to the workshop team to support accurate diagnosis and repair.

Monitoring job progress and ensuring work is completed within agreed timescales.

Carry out quality checks and road testing of vehicles.

Liaising with Service Advisors and management to keep communication clear and effective.

Helping maintain a positive, professional and well-organised workshop environment.

Ensuring company procedures and health & safety standards are followed.

Assist and cover Workshop Controllers with processing jobs to the costing department through our electronic work-in-progress portal.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
-
Previous experience in a Workshop Foreman, Workshop Controller or Senior Technician position.

Technical knowledge gained through qualification or relevant experience

Strong understanding of workshop practices
-
Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Proficient in IT, including MS Office and Dealer Management Systems (preferably Kerridge)

The confidence to lead and support a team and have challenging conversations when required

Knowledge of HGV/LCV inspection standards and road-legal requirements/documentation
-
A proactive approach and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

A strong commitment to quality, safety and customer satisfaction.

A professional and positive attitude
Desirable
-
C or C+E Licence for test driving purposes
-
Experience within the commercial vehicle, truck and van or automotive sector would be highly advantageous.
