Mercedes-Benz Truck and Van Northern Ireland, in partnership with Northern Regional College, Southwest College Dungannon and Transport Training Services have opened applications for 2023 to recruit apprentices to support multiple parts of the business.
This year we are recruiting for six positions starting in summer 2023, applicants can apply for a place within one of three areas, Heavy Vehicle Repair, Light Vehicle Repair and Parts apprentice.
With opportunities in both Mallusk and Dungannon you will be part of a friendly and knowledgeable team, working for a world-renowned premium brand. We will support you through your training with on-the-job mentoring & development through Mercedes-Benz digital modules/virtual classrooms.
MBNI Truck & Van have a phenomenally successful apprenticeship program with some members of staff now at the highest level within their field, diagnostic technicians Willy for truck and Sam for van have been with the business for over 20 years. Our workshop controller Sam has been with the company for over 18 years, our parts assistant manager Robert and parts sales advisor Colum have been with the business for over 30 years.
We currently have 13 technician's / workshop apprentices across both sites, all at various levels & this number will only grow. A current apprentice Drew based in Dungannon was keen to give his feedback on the programme - “Working as an apprentice for Mercedes Benz Truck & Van NI has given me the opportunity to see and participate in a working environment, develop my skills and helping me gain more experience as a heavy vehicle repair mechanic.”
